Most villagers plant paddy,pepper,cocoa,farming and fishing.Our calender is base on paddy planting season,so normally it begin on jun when we start clearing our land for paddy planting and end on may after harvest.

Bidayuh as other tribes also believe in nature healing.Our ancestors worship the spirit of the dead,god of earth element such as wind/water and god of universe.

As we used to fight with other tribes we collect their head and skeleton and keep them in a worship house named “panggah”.Every year we will feast these skull with a very big celebration in the rememberance of our victory protecting our territory.Untill today you can see these skull kept safely in our panggah.This is the reason why we DAYAK also known as “headhunters”.

Now let me share with you about my homestay.Our place is about 5 minutes away from the longhouse,located by Semedang riverbank, build and design inspired by international chalet.
